Dangerous Kitties

Spooky, Flying Space-CatImage by Gail S via Flickr

While dogs may have their own goddess (see previous post), it turns out that Daisy is right. Cats don't need a goddess because they are a bit omnipotent. Scientists have discovered that cats possess a heretofore unreported purr that has an almost impossible to ignore or resist hidden cry embedded into it, which is why you do all those crazy things you do for your cat. Read about it here, and then slowly back away from the dangerous kitty. Can't do it? See? You're totally sucked in already.

Ha. I read about the purr thing this morning and sent it to my sons with the heading, This Is True! We could say that cats are beautifully evil, but mine's just cute (even though he's known to employ the annoying purr).

Only one of my three cats does the mind control purr-meow. One is so cute he doesn't need to anything but look at you. The other doesn't care, he's whatever...

I think cats demand worship with every move they make. The mind-control purr is just overkill.

Inkywasfat: Glad your cat isn't evil. Thanks for the visit.

Lynne: Too funny.

Jean: Too funny too.

Pup: I bite. What do dogs keep for pets?

I also read that article! But it's not too surprising. And it's not just cats that have us humans trained. I had a pet ferret that used to poke the back of my ankle for a raisin. And my Dad's dog has him trained to break up her biscuit into little pieces. She also gets him to change position on the couch simply by sitting on top of him and wriggling her butt into the spot she wants. I don't think cats are evil - just brilliant!

ahahaha, Brilliant! THAT's why my cat has me on a leash, instead of the other way around.

Pop on by if you have the chance! It makes me happy! :)

perhaps this explains why dogs have masters and cats have servants

Ours have us wrapped around their little paws without it. {Happily so!} But very interesting to read - thanks Margaret!

Cats. Did you know that they just did a study that proves dogs are smarter than cats? I knew it all along. :)

I'm allergic but I've held kittens because the swollen eyes were worth it. My daughter is infatuated with the neighborhood cats and knows them all by name. If only I could purr then I could control her . . .

Well it seems like the kitties definitely have their admirers. I'll have to keep this quiet from Scout.

Finally, I'm back on my happy MAC. Along with their cry and it's similarity to a child's cry, cats also have their eyes set in the front of there face. A fact shared with humans. They can be held like a baby too; also part of their allure to women.

Dog: Wow! These people feed me and shelter me and give me all sorts of attention. They must be gods!
