Scary Weekend

Three words to strike terror in your hearts: Girl Scout Camping.

Did I mention we will be in tents?

Did I mention there will be neither cable nor wine, but that we will be swimming in hairbrushes?

Pray for me.

P.S: I have another short story up here, and by short, I mean blink your eyes and you'll miss it.

Two words:
"air mattress"

It'll be fine.

Actually, as I look back upon it, I recall that there was another word we were famous for on Girl Scout campouts: "sangria".

I can't believe it, but we were. Shocking, isn't it?

Got the air mattress.

Now, don't tell me you didn't read your "Safety Wise." You know there's no alcohol allowed on Girl Scout overnights. Still, sounds like you had fun!

We have Boy Scout Camping here.Luckily for me my husband tends to be the one to go on those trips.
I am praying for.Take a stash of dark chocolate to calm the nerves.

It does sound scary and that means I'm just pitiful. I got to go on Girl Scout campouts when I was a youngin'. Loved them, yet I would not want to do it now.

Have fun?

3 words to strike pleasure in your stomachs:

Girl Scout Cookies.

Did you get your GSC boxes this year? Did I mention it's too late if you didn't. The gsc season is over.

Air mattress and vino. We're set.
btw, who's the goddess of girl scouts? I can only think of mortals--

Or who is the goddess for parents who sleep in tents with young kids ?

If you've got the air mattress and the sleeping bag, you should be covered. Unless you have to venture out in the middle of the night to pee. That's always the part I hate...

Good luck! We'll summon some Goddesses for you.

Camping. Tents. Hairbrushes. Enough to terrify me, that's for sure. Happy camping, Margaret.

PS: Another great story. I didn't blink.

LOL. Well, I can think of at least a dozen other ways I'd rather spend a weekend, but the memories you'll be making will be worth it! Have fun! :o)

I always thought it very unfair that boys scouts camped in the mountains and girl scouts camped in a park. Hope you go further afield these days.

LOL! My heart aches for you! but those GS's are going to have a ball, and maybe you'll get another great story for us!

How about:
Cessair (Kesara) - Early Irish Earth goddess. When Ireland coalesced out of the Underworld, the first beings to reach it were the followers of Cessair, a chieftain Who brought with Her 50 women and 3 men.
