Book Trailer Contest Finalists

Remember the book trailer?   Every picture that was sent was fabulous, and I want to thank everyone who sent a picture.  All the pictures will be in the book trailer.  There might even be two trailers!

I promised that the picture that most said:  "Here I am! I own my life!" would win a copy of my novel The Goddess Lounge and a $25 Barnes and Noble gift card.  So here are the five finalists.  It was really hard to choose, so, ultimately, I narrowed the photos by trying to balance women at different stages of life, doing different sorts of activities that suggest not just self possession but the variety of ways women attempt to either challenge boundaries or just be truly authentic.  It's up to you to choose the winner.  Frankly, I am glad it is up to you, because I don't think I could choose.  It was hard enough narrowing it down to five finalists!

Jamie, a forest nymph if ever I've seen one, says energy, movement, and growth.

Adrienne as Pele, the volacano goddess, is full of passion, confidence, and strength.

Lorena, as painted by Jean Spitzer, channels Venus because of her loveliness and her look of self determination.

Cyndel in her welding garb is Athena, goddess of arts and crafts.

Kymborli, singing her heart out, is Persephone, goddess of spring.

Wonderful! Margaret. and yes, it is hard to choose- I love them all. But jamie encompasses a younger me when my body worked better, and this older me who still dances in my mind. So I vote for her.

I vote for Cyndel, she's the kind of woman I want to grow into being, boldly doing something I love.

All great picks - I'm sure it was so hard for you to choose! I'm gonna have to go with Cyndel because I want to be like her when I grow up! :)

Hey Margaret, when the trailer is finished, may I please feature it on my blog? and my Facebook? and my Youtube channel? And everywhere else I can think of?

Great choices for semi-finalists! But it's very hard to choose. Would a "different stages of life" collage work?

Petrea: you are awesome. Of course you may.

Do we have to choose? Well then, Jean's painting is so lovely.

These women are all goddesses. Very hard to choose. Can we vote twice? Or better yet, five times?

I love the Pele photo--it is eye catching and fascinating, but the smoking lacks political correctness for today's US.

I'm stumped!!! I love them all!!! But as much as I loved them all, I've narrowed it down to Cyndel and Kymborli...for the simple reason that they both made me smile and relate to the concept...I'm leaning toward Kymborli because the exuberance she shows is so free and full of life...but then, like some of the others, Cyndel exemplifies how I want to live as grow even older than I am!!!

They're all fabulous!

In spirit of the goddess I lean towards Cyndel - in terms of what works best with the book cover, I'm thinking twirling Jamie with that splash of red is rather nice

No worry, PA, the picture won't be part of the book cover. All of the photos will be in the book trailer.

Super hard choice - I'm sure as I type something, I'll change my mind. But, the Cyndel photo really struck me and that's my vote.

I love Jean's painting. The look in her eyes seems to say it all.
