A: Have you ever kissed a boy?
M: No.
A: Well, then, on the one hand I feel sorry for you because you've never been kissed. But on the other hand I feel happy for you because some boys kiss like dogs. No. Literally. They kiss like dogs.
M: They lick you?
A: That's all I can say.

It is one of the world's great mysteries: Why do kids in backseats think you can't hear them?
Wooo. That's a good one. Can't wait to hear more. Hopefully they don't read your blog :)
Laughing as I type. I too drove carpool. Fascinating window into children's lives. The trick is to keep from saying anything.
That is too funny. I remember those car pooling days and the great stuff I could find out! Oh, I'm having a major walk down memory lane now.
:-D That's hilarious! I'm going to test it on Daisy!
Snort. Priceless, Margaret. There's no doubting the joyful exuberance of a dog kiss.
You set the scene and it charms me.
They really don't think you can hear them? But this is amazing. How else can you use this power? Let's think.
What a wonderful window into your child's life!!!
hehehe... ;o)
Margaret- maybe it's the "you can't see me so how can you know what I am up to " thing with kids.
Car conversations with teens are even more interesting,it's like they are in a confessional.
Actually I tend to experience this sort of thing in reverse. Where I'm the one talking loosely while the little ones in the back go into absorption mode.
Oh my GOD!!!!!! :-DDDDDD
Cool and yes they probably know you can hear them, but it's really amazing how they know about such things! Aahahahahaha
They grow up fast, don't they?
That's an excellent snippet!
So very funny! Cosmos bless'em. Bittersweet "aaaahhhh." They're headed for lots of first-time kisses and bites. Would you go through the bites, again, for the kisses? I wouldn't. Today's bites and kisses are 'sufficient unto the day' for me.
Star: I'm with you. I'd just as soon leave to the kids.
You know, kids have it spot on...LOL
Better boys who kiss like dogs than boys who kiss like fish....
