My Lucky Week

Whammy! The All-New Press Your LuckImage via Wikipedia1. Younger daughter turns 13. (Cha-Ching!)
2. Tweak my back.
3. Starter dies. (Cha-Ching!)
4. Obsess over lost dog that I found and took to humane society.
5. Flat tire. (Discover I need all new tires. Cha-Ching!)
6. Husband out of town.
7. Back still tweaked.

But that's ok because...

I signed with a literary agent. (To read the first chapter of my novel The Goddess Lounge go here.) Wish me luck as we try and find it a publisher in January.

Good must always be balanced by bad. That's the universe, baby.

Thrilled for you Margaret.

Wonderful!!!!--about the agent, not the rest.

But as soon as you got to the agent part, the cheering started here.

8. You lose your witty and resourceful (unagented) friend due to a fatal attack of jealousy. Wait, is that good or bad luck?

How exciting! You deserve it. Can't wait to hear more wonderful news about your book.

Margaret, a huge congratulations to you! I'm thrilled for you and hope you'll post the story about your own personal goddess ... your Agent! I'd love to hear more, raising my coffee cup in a toast to you :)

That is such exciting news. I can't wait to read the whole book. Congratulations.

Just read the chapter you have posted at your website. Love the woman's Odyssey idea and am charmed by the red tent. (Of course, as a faithful reader of this blog, I'm pretty well-versed in goddess lore according to Margaret.)

Just read that first chapter and I WANT MORE!

Sooooo cool! I can't wait to buy the book! I hope your back feels better soon! Nothing that an adult beverage and a bubble bath can't fix, I hope!

Oh, and if it's not too much trouble, I need a goddess. Again. Maybe three. One for luck, one for physical fitness, and one for advancing your career and yourself. I've decided to focus my efforts into joining the Army while I'm still young enough to pull it off.

Great news, Margaret! I'm so happy for you and can't wait to be holding the book in my hands, flipping through the pages.

Can hardly wait to read the book Margaret. Is there a goddess to facilitate this?

Enormous congrats for signing with the agent. "Good luck" seems too frail a wish, so, translating from the Italian, "Into the mouth of the wolf!," to which the response is: "May it die!" Hmmm, it loses its charm in the translation, but the upshot is: may you be protected from all misfortune, may you triumph!

Well... apart from the rest CONGRATRULATIONS!!! Will I be able to find a copy here in Italy???

I'm doing a very excited happy dance for you, Margaret! Congratulations ~ sorry about the balancing act, but what a way to even out the scales. {I hope the puppy dog is ok. My wv is pubby, so I'll take that as a good sign.}

Fabulous Margaret!!! Those darned publishing houses will be beating down your door as soon as they see this!!!

Good luck with finding a publisher - Cha-ching! Tell your agent to tell everyone that there are at least 50 people who want to read your book.

OH BABY!

Your goddesses are lining up to do you service. Your back only went out because you were excited. Maybe one of them can give you a back rub?

Let's get Desiree a goddess. She never asks for one, does all the work herself. I know I'll be asking for one soon.

Good luck! I'll buy the book, and so will all my friends! Can't wait!

Thank you, everyone, for your congratulations and thanks. I'll keep you posted with any developments. I have to say, however, that my back is really giving me a headache. But that' how it is with backs.

Jess: Your in the queue. Petrea: Yes, let's do find a goddess for our Desiree. Daisy: Yes, let's also find a goddess to facilitate.

Shell: About the dog. Good news, he seems to have been picked up by his family because he was dropped from the website before it would have been able to adopt him.
