As with all things, good economic news has its downsides.
An improved employment picture seems to mean decreased productivity in the canine sector. Walkies are down. Crate time is up. These disturbing trends do not bode well for upcoming elections. Favored tummy rubbers may soon be displaced by challengers. On the other hand, the improvement in the labor market means increased ability to afford delicious snackies, so, really, the election could go either way.

Hmm...maybe we should leave this upcoming election entirely to the whim of dogs.
The campaigns have been ruff. Now I can't wait until the elections are rover.
Thanks, Scout. I'm with Ann.
Scout is so very wise. She deserves all the tummy rubs she can get.
I must say, my kitties are all about those snackies and long, luxurious naps.
While tummy rubs are surely preferred, good snackie-wackies can go a long way towards forgiveness.
Oh Scout, one must learn to take the bitter with the liver-flavored crunchies.
Ahhhh...tummy rubs followed by a snackie-wackie are definitely the coups de gras!!!
But can that really be Scout??? She looks soooooo puppy like!!! Must be snackie-wacky anticipation!!!
I think Ann channels Scout's thoughts very well.
Scout deserves treats and tummy rubs for being such a sage advisor. :-)
Ha! So true!
I'm late but I had to circle back for your wise words, Scout. Perhaps the debate evened things out and you can have a day filled with both tummy rubs and drool-inducing treats.
